Front door issue, resolved

Our front door had to be slammed to latch, and sometimes just popped open. Mentioned it to our dealer once and they sprayed the hinges. Didn't fix it. Took a few minutes today to investigate and found that the door plate was on backwards. Another quality job.
Didn't have a drill but did have some small self tapping screws and remedied the situation.
If your door is giving you fits take a look at the strike plate.

It is also AMAZING what a little LUBE on strike and strike plate can do; silicone CLEAR dielectric grease can work well and not stain clothing, or even silicone spray that goes on wet and leaves a DRY, CLEAR FILM

I wonder how many strike plates this worker installed in a shift. How many were backwards? Was the instruction not suffienct ?
Just another example of how the industry, regardless if brand, is selling "kits" quickly assembled and finished out if the factory.
I myself would gladly pay more for one built using European auto standards.

We had a problem with our screen door hitting the plate edge which would cause it to stick and the main door open. PIA!
I tried the plate first and realized the screen door was attached to far in towards the plate where it attaches to the hinges on the other side. I compared it with the other door to notice this.
I just filed a little of the screen door off where it now cleas the plate.
