Glacier Peak 5th shopping
After driving a motorhome for many years, we may purchase either an Arctic Fox Grande Ronde, Fox Mountain, or an ORV Glacier Peak 5th wheel.
We have read about and looked at several models, and the two Glacier peak floorplans we like are the F26RKS, and the F27MKS.
I would like to hear from owners of Glacier Peaks to help us make our decision. Any comparisons, issues or concerns are welcome!

We plan to keep our search to as close to 30 feet total length as possible. Maybe 32 feet would be the max, hitch pin to rear bumper.

ORV's are heavy trailers as are Northwoods. You'll want to make sure you have enough truck to pull it.

I just picked up the truck, 2022 GMC 2500 AT4, diesel, payload about 3000 pounds.
Hence, my motivation to buy a 5th wheel soon!

My F26RLS is 13K dry, with 2,257 CCC. 20% pin weight of 15,257 is 3,057, so your already over your trucks CCC. Add in your hitch, passengers, and other gear in the bed and you further exceed your trucks CCC. I wouldn't tow mine with anything less than a 1 ton.

Not sure where you come up with 13K dry and 15,257lbs?

To GPCPL, I see that your 26RLS has a heavier hitch weight, 2300 vs the RKS at 1995, and dry weight, 10175, vs the RKS at 9395.
To Rikeoni, can I expect any problems with the fit and finish, and or leaks, things falling off, etc, like some Outdoors Rv customers have complained about?
It seems like I see very few problems reported with Artic Fox owners of trailers and 5th wheels, compared to the Outdoors Rv owners!

2018 glacier peak 26rls
I’ve got a max cargo of 2274lbs and a max trailer of 12995lbs which gives me a dry weight of 10721lbs. The picture is of the 2018 26rls mountain series in my driveway.

F27MKS
We have been enjoying our 2020 F27MKS, it was much lighter than the equivalent northwood. That said I am pulling it with an 2014 F350 King Ranch 6.7 diesel and every time I'm pulling out of the driveway all I can think about is "I wish this was a dually"
Fully loaded for fun and adventure this thing is heavy. I will be installing air bags as soon as I get a few other chores done with.
Do I have enough truck? Yes, just...
Have I ever once, if even for a fleeting moment regretted buying this motel on wheels? Never
Would I sell it and buy a Super C, yes where do I sign mr Renegade salesman.
I have tried very hard to find some thing, feature, etc to grouse over, and I get grumpy for a bit, that is until I pull into the Gander Rv service center and really do feel like a valued customer.
But I digress, in short, having pulled every length and type over the million miles I've driven I truly enjoyed every moment of being an ORV owner from pulling over LA Veta and Wolf Creek passes to splurging and boondocking in Death Valley. I really couldn't imagine a better 5th wheel coach.

I'd take a 27-5L over any of the ORV Glacier Peaks. My pet peeve is the narrow walk way on the curb side by the bed. I went through that with my Fox Mountain for 6 years.
The 27-5L is also 8'6" wide and gives you more room inside all over at right under 30'.
YMMV
