Glacier Peak Solar Install with Tesla battery
Spent the weekend checking out dinosaur tracks in southern Colorado, and the new camper solar system worked flawless.
Although we almost always boondock camp, we still like to have the power available to meet our needs. Thank you sun power!

They are actually 200W panels from HIGHTEC Solar in Michigan.

But where are the cables from the solar panels?
Mine just run on top of the roof to a box near the front.
I don't see yours at all ...

Busted! Yeah this picture was taken just before I ran the cables. The cables run along the panels to the back corner where they pass through the roof, down into the camper behind the cabinets, next to my fridge.

ZAMP install
I have been quoted $950 for one 170W solar panel, the controller, and the installation from a dealer with regard to the purchase of a new 26KVS. It would be ZAMP parts. Any opinions? Suggestions?

If your roof is pre-wired for solar, that seems like it may be a little high. Then again I am not familiar with dealer installation costs, so that may be right in line.

You know I thought about going wireless at first, but then realized I usually get better performance out of things when I go with old school wired systems.

I am using a battery module from a Tesla Model S for my storage.
One seems to be enough for my needs right now, but I have mounted it so I could stack the modules if I wanted to add more.

Nice install. Assuming you are using modules out of a Mod S battery, are you running 24 or 48 volts?

Agree, and how did I miss that!
To the OP, I recognize the Blue Victron stuff in your photo (mppt charger, 12V converter, battery monitor, battery protector), but there's a lot of other stuff I don't recognize. Is there a write up somewhere about this?
