Gp 30rls

Has anyone seen or received the new titanium GP 30RLS yet? If so just looking for some opinions on them.

Considering the used Blackstone 280RKS now and then upgrade to a full time 5er in about 4-5 years........probably used. Or bit the bullet now and get the 30RLS now for camping and full timing later....even if I have to finance part of it.

Thanks
Greg

I would personally go for the GP now, went from travel trailer to 5er and should of done it years ago. We are waiting to see the new GP's also. Not the model you are looking for but we love ours and not alot of issues in 2 years. Used ORV in anything is really hard to find, at least up here in B.C.

You may want to ask around about a recommended carrying capacity for full timing.

I am not sure on these full size units, not enough of a difference from the mid sizers. Bed room is bigger, bathroom is bigger, living area looks to have remained the same. IMHO the sofa needs to be 84 inches long, and the TV needs to be across from the recliners, with the sofa at 90°. When doing an extended stay there will be some days spent inside and they won't be in the bedroom or bathroom.

The units need to be 2 feet longer and have disc brakes, independant suspension, fiberglass roof.....

We love our GP and feel it is the best unit for the type of camping we do (50 >60 nights a year no hookups), if we were going to go extended stay it would be too small. A DRV type of unit might be better suited to that form of RVing.

That's my opinion, and I'm sticking to it.

Debbie and myself went to the Open House at Thompson Rv on Sat. They had the GP 30RLS and 30RKS. We were very impressed. Darrin and Troy from factory were there explaining how much teamwork went into the floorplans of each. If you want storage these have it. Extremely comfortable and usable. Kitchen cupboards a little tall for inseam challenged people. These are not light units though. 30RLS was in neighborhood of 12400 lbs. We almost drove away with the 30RLS. We decided to get the GP Titanium 28RK. Debbie has always loved the kitchen. Should be delivered in May.

I'm hoping we have it for the campout. This is one that Thompson ordered several months ago, so it should be in May.
