Thanks Coops for reminding us of our children who are presently camping south of Nelson, BC. Received a message last week that the smoke wasn't too bad there and that they were enjoying the great BC weather. Saskatchewan Day here tomorrow. Hoping to get out to our Timber Ridge to celebrate.

You guys got it easy. In Ontario the "Civic Holiday" is renamed as "Simcoe Day" in Toronto, "Colonel By Day" in Ottawa and "Joseph Brant Day" in Burlington. And there are prolly others. Get's confusing.

We're getting the trailer ready today and taking off tomorrow after the crowds are gone for a couple of weeks boondocking. Our annual big loop exploration of Ontario's North. This year we're doing an Eastern loop starting at Mississagi, then Wakami Lake, Nagagamesis Provincial Parks and around through Cochran to Kettle Lakes P.P. near Timmons and back down. About 2000kms all around. Fun! But it's been wet and the skeeters are prolly bad. Certainly better than the fires out West though.
