Howdy y'all

Just got my wind river parked at the vandenberg afb famcamp. Haven't done much but opened the slides and windows, put some beer in the fridge and watched a little tv. Going to register her in texas eventually, and also read the manuals. Look forward to camping in the sierras as I am an avid prospector. Will have to get at least a 3/4 ton diesel because my half ton will die towing this when I take her in the mountains. Look forward to the mods, first is adding another 12 battery, dish form my directv and a larger solar panel.

This site and the manufacturers were instrumental in me choosing this trailer. So, thx for all the posts and info!!!!

Welcome TallPaul000 and congrats on the new rig! I am pleased that this forum was of use to you! And you have the right idea about a beefier truck! And stocking with beer first!

I spent a couple years of my generally mis-spent youth in Lompoc!

Have fun!

Bob

Welcome. I use to live a little south of Vandenberg AFB down in Ventura county. Now live in Grass Valley and am a avid gold prospector also. Been hunting gold for about 20 years now.
