If you weren't buying or already have an ORV, what would your second choice be?

Okay, we've all read the posts. for those of us with new ORVs on order, it's decision time. Hand over the arm and leg you have left, or cancel and find an alternative.

Wondering what your second choice would be? We have a 28BKS Titanium on order with every option available including 510W solar.

Let's keep the replies to "what your second choice would be" please. If you have comments on the price increase, there is another thread for that. Thank you.

maybe Grand Design, however I have heard that all brands are having supply issues and quality problems - plus they are all raising prices.

Any thoughts on a Nash? My local dealer has one with the floor plan we'd like and a lot less than the ORV.

I'd go Nash in a heartbeat. You give up a few things like the 80 gal fresh tank and 40/40 grey so thats definitely something to consider.

Grand Design? Not the Imagine as they only have 1" aluminum studs for framing. Same as their 150 series 5th wheels.
Reflections are a lot longer than 32'.

But if you're spending that much on a Nash 29S then why not go non Titanium for the 28DBS? That cuts the price down by $7K or so. You still get the tanks of the ORV and a nicer interior than the Nash. And a much better overall floor plan. You'd be spitting the difference kinda between the Titanium ORV and the Nash.

Nash is a good option, a Northwood product.

Grand Design or Jayco Eagle are our plan B's... and after 14 months of waiting and surcharges being handed out like cars at an Oprah show we're looking a lot closer at the plan B's

14 monhts! what model did you order please. We ordered the 28 BKS Titanium. at the beginning of August. We were told it would be produced at the end of Feb or early March. I even contacted ORV to make sure 1) the dealer we bought it from had allocation and 2) the production schedule.

I can't imagine ordering and waiting over a year! Sorry to hear about that.

The nash would still be cheaper and it's an off grid model. Part of my struggle is, the more I spend, the less happy I am going to be with issues. We had a $26k KZ connect. Quality wasn't great, but we traveled all over the place with it and it was only $26k. The two big issues were the awning and delamination due to the side walls being cut too short. KZ just filled them with caulk from the factory and sent it on its way.

At $26k, I get it. Slam and jam all day and let the dealer worry about it. I can deal with the quality not being that great. But, at coming on $70k, I expect a big step up in quality.
