Ken, I think that if you went with a marine door, the flange would stiffen up the valance quite a bit. If a strut is in the way, moving forward could be done without a loss of "support". I can say that my door stiffens the area of the valance more than it was. Not worried about it flapping or shaking going down the road. And, hands fit in mucho better than the round kayak ones!!!!

To the class A owner recommending elec valves, sure!! Then we can crawl under the trailer, cut open (or remove) the under belly to do "LESS" work!!!!! Also wiring, switches, etc!! The dump valves in ORVs are located near the centerline of the trailer, just a bit more work for even more money!!!!
