The wiring under in the center under the bed is the Auto-leveling system. I did not want to move it, so I framed in around it. I did use the existing hole for some of the wiring, but most wires go directly to the pass-thru.
Sorry about that..

Hey Jim, may I ask a favor? When you get a chance could you please measure the height of the bed frame, from the floor to the top edge (black trim cap) of the frame? I'll need to lower the internal frame as you did, but want to know the total height of the outside frame. We don't pick up our new trailer until May, and I'm in the dark on some of this stuff.

Thank you!

Mike

Mike, sorry for taking soo.. long. Here are some numbers I think you can use.

The floor to the top of the bed trim cap: 21-3/8"
Keep in mind the frame under the bed occupies about 1-1/8". This makes the usable height about 20-1/4".

The top of the bed drawer side is 8-3/8" (from the floor)
The top of the drawer opening in the bed pedestal is 9-1/4"

My install:
I ripped 2x4's to make my 7/8 x 1-1/2" frame material. The bottom of the frame is mounted 9 inches off the floor. If you put your hand in the top of the drawer opening, you can feel the bottom of the frame hanging down about 1/4" on the inside under the bed. After putting down a 3/4” ply floor, there was under 9” of usable height left. My install was under 8-1/2” high.

Let me know if there is anything else you need.
Jim

Very helpful, Jim. I need that 9" for my batteries.
