Sorry for sideways pic, not sure why they come out that way.
Awesome idea! Ordered 3 today.....

Did the same with our 5er. Picked up ours at a marine parts supply store.

Ok folks, are you tired of that old ugly, dirty, contaminated city water connection plug? I was. So now I have a new plug, that will become old, dirty, and contaminated. But at least I tried.

So what did you steal that new plug off of?
Or is it something you can find in a hardware store?

My original is not just filthy, but is falling apart.
My first thought was duct tape ...

Duct tape is good! Maybe white Gorilla Tape?

The thingy I used was a garden hose adapter. Purchased from nearby DIY store (Lowe's). Can you see the photo? It's also available at Amazon. I cut off the barbed end, found a scrap plastic thingy in my vast spare stuff inventory to plug the hole and silicone sealed it in. I also shortened the threaded end so it did not protrude too far and obstruct passing traffic. Voila! Perfection!

Brilliant. You, sir, are a Rube Goldberg Master.

I hope to emulate this device soon.

Not much is more rewarding than to dig into that pile of crap one has saved (inventoried) for 30 years and find the perfect part we need for the current project!

Had clothes hangar in main wardrobe fail ( see June post in sidebar I made). I put in cedar lining boards on sides and then installed blocks to support new rod ( Home Depot adjustable. Approx 32"). Main issue was getting nails and staples into supports behind paneling and not protruding out. Taking out to Yellowstone this weekend and see if more durable. If not we've got good firewood to smoke some fish for dinner. Could not locate good support under roof foam for using.
