Mattress
Headed to pickup our new Timber ridge in a couple of weeks and trying to figure out what to pack. In our old camper we had a temperpedic matress cover that was real nice. How is the mattress in the Timber Ridge should I plan on packing the temperpedic cover or not (It takes up a lot of room)
Thanks

We told ORV they could keep the lousy factory mattress. We went to Costco and bought a decent queen size mattress as soon as we got the trailer.

We’re on our third mattress and finally happy with this one. The factory one we tolerated for about 3-4 outings, a latex one from Amazon for a couple more, and this is an innerspring one from Macy’s. Despite being officially a short queen, we were able to get in a full queen with no issues.

Thanks for the info I guess I will bring it with me. Don't want to spend 6 weeks in it and be uncomfortable

Mattress
Hi Snowgroomer, Couldn't get rid of our Timberidge mattress fast enough.
You can feel the coils right though the covering. Funny, dealer didn't want it back either!!

We also got rid of the existing mattress that came with our Creekside 21RBS. We looked at a few mattress stores for foam beds but because of the height of the platform we needed to stay with an 8 inch thick bed. My wife is not very tall and if we would have gotten a taller bed she would need a step stool to get into the bed.
We found a local place in Reno that makes custom beds and talked to them before we decided to buy one of their beds. They made our bed to be 8 inches thick and after a few times sleeping on it we are very happy. We were worried about the outgassing smell, but we have not noticed it at all.

http://Dreamfoambedding.com ... very reasonable prices and sort of by accident while looking for lower hight mattress with memory foam (long story short) we got the 6” Valencia RV and it's been great!

The mattress that came in my Titanium TR was pretty nice to begin with Lots of things on my list above the mattress anyways.

Not sure if ORV has changed their mattress supplier.
Ours has been very comfortable since new in 2016.

Our mattress in our 2018 Timber Ridge (Mountain Series) is very much to our liking. I sleep like a "rock". Wife agrees. We had two Aerolite RV trailers before that with "fake" mattresses. My wife always complained about both of them.... I'll give it a few years to see if it breaks down. But right now I give it a A+.

Within 1 month of purchasing my GP, I ordered a Leesa mattress. It is awesome!

When I first looked at our trailer one of my first thoughts was the mattress was going to be too firm. Surprisingly we've slept great on it. Its certainly much better than what came with our Komfort.

Tochta were good to work with. Quality product, great service. The “Utopia” turned out to be fairly firm but comfortable. A lot better than the stock Mountain Series issue.
