MOR/Ryde CRE3000 (long)
had dealer install this system 2weeks ago when tt was there for warranty work.
i pick it up and was handed a box with my old parts...including the oem shocks they said would no longer fit (too short) OR be required because of the rubber equalizer.
i was pissed they wouldn't call me, but thats another story.
when i pulled out of the dealers lot i could tell something was different. then, during the 35 mile trip home via the interstate, it became more apparent.
the truck was porpoising like never before. not wanting to cancel our reservations @ cape disappointment state park, i continued home and packed up.
the drive south on hwy 101 was NOT fun. the porpoising was horrendous. nothing i could do with the airbags helped. i knew when we returned home the 1st order of business was fixing the handeling.
upon further investigation i found the shocks WOULD still fit, but would be sitting only 1" from being topped out of their 4" stroke, not good. a trip to the hardware store for box of fender washers did the trick. stack 6 @ each end of the shock, then the shock hardware, gained the original travel back. 2" each way.
now to upgrade the oem shocks dexter axle uses, to the monroe gas magnums (555001) orv uses on the x4 off road option.
road test to follow...

Did the dealer install longer bolt hangers in the center? I was told that I could not retrofit to the Mor Ride system once I purchased my trailer. I would be interested to know what the part number is on the system you had installed. A picture or two would be nice as well.

Your trailer under side looks so clean!
How has your tire clearance changed with the Mor-Ryde?
I went with HD shackles and wet bolts but used the existing equalizer cause I was afraid of losing tire clearance. And have had no problems with the existing ride with factory shocks, although they may be due for replacement now.

it actually gained ~1" of clearance, thats why i had to effectively lengthen the shocks. the tt only has ~5000miles on it so shes still relatively unbeaten.
if the oem shocks are still good, they can be re-used with fender washers as well to save $$.
i just happen to have a set looking for a new home

Now that I think about it, believe I was looking at the Dexter? Equalizer with the rubber cushions. That one could have dropped me 1/4-1/2", so I didn't do it.
But with the Mor-Ryde's 1" clearance increase you might even be able to upgrade to 16" wheels and tires.

Just wondering what wheelbase the ORV's are? I looked at the kits but did not understand how to determine wheelbase...

This is the equalizer used in my Timber Ridge:
https://www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Sus...e/TREQ356.html
Wheelbase may be 34" but that was a rough measurement made with worn bushings, haven't measured it after the upgrade.
And your trailer may be different.

I have been doing some research. I think with the suspension upgrade and a tire upgrade on the 15 in 6 lug wheels (thanks Rickeoni) we can pretty close to the 11000lbs. I looked up the Maxxis M8008 tires and at 80 psi the load rating is 2830lbs. So that would be over the 5200 lbs per axel rating. If ORV does not upgrade the axels for the x4 I do not think 16in wheels are required. Probably not the same ground clearance.
I am new at this so I could be way off in my assumptions.

Just wondering if you have traveled with the suspension upgrade and if you have a review. Thanks
