Morryde wet bolts
For those of you who have replaced their wet bolts and bushings in their Morryde systems-
How many miles were on them?
What condition were the bushings in?
The above is assuming they were greased on schedule.
Any suggestions on the process?
I have 35k miles on our 22FQS and I am wondering if it is time. I have greased them every 2k miles.
Thanks.

It’s time after 35000 miles. You might want get a few new bolts and all new nuts. I just did mine and two or three bolts were worn with some ridges. All my bushings were toast. I was around 25-30 thousand miles.

I went ahead and did them. The bushings in the spring ends were broken. The bushings in the Morryde were ok, but replaced all bushings and bolts. I might start just doing it annually when I do my bearings.

How often did you lubricate?
Do you need to pull the bolts to inspect (I suspect so)?
I have 2020 R1RBS CRE3000 with wet bolts. with about 22k miles and have lubricated every 5k miles. I was told by ORV after they checked with MorRyde to lube every 12k or less! Thanks to AI, now I am seeing 6k or one year.
Do you know which bushings see the most wear, so if I need to pull and inspect, I'll start with them?
Would you recommend buying some of the parts b4 trying to disassemble?
Sounds like it's a reasonable time for me to take action.

I had greased the bolts every 2 to 3k miles.
The bushings in the spring ends were the broken ones. The ones in the 3000 itself were in pretty good shape. I replaced them all.
I do have a complete set on hand for when I do my bearings this fall. I will check them and replace them all if any are in bad shape.
One thing to be aware of is the nuts on the bolts are self-locking nuts. If they are reused after having been removed they supposedly are not as effective in locking. So if you don’t go ahead and install the new bolts it would be better to find new nuts for the bolts you checked. If you can’t find new nuts, you might want to check the torque on that nut more often. I couldn’t find the nuts locally.

Wow, some of you guys do serious travelling. I estimate I have maybe 4,000 miles on my '22 25RDS.....most of my trips are within a couple hours of home.
Cheers,
Dave

Yeah, mine does too but I wasn't smart enough or was too lazy to set up a different trailer name for my various trailers so I have to guess.
Cheers,
Dave

I've got just over 36k on our '19 23DBS. I've been greasing any time I have the tires off to rotate - at a minimum once yearly when I repack the bearings, which I just did a few weeks ago. There were a couple that did not want to take any grease no matter how much I moved things around. So I ordered a kit and will replace them all when we get back from our BC/Alberta trip later this month.

What kit did you order and from where? I have a 3000 setup.

Based on above, it's time for me to change bushings--especially spring ends.
I need to dig into all this more but will likely use Never Fail bushings. The bronze bushings are too brittle for spring ends but likely fine for all other points. Some of the plastic materials are questionable at best. Never Fail is plastic based but quite strong per some on forums. Do not lubricate these!
I believe that these are the same stock parts as on my 21RBS Anniversary with MorRyde CRE3000 and MorRyde shackle kit, so likely will buy complete kit. Prices for shackle kit is less on eBay but I'm not sure about the quality and these are not items to take risks with.
I plan to remove grease fittings and plug with screw/plug. I could/may stay with bronze on all but spring ends.

We have better than 80,000 miles on our 2015 20fq. It doesn't sit idle for very long.
