And guess what? The price didn't drop with the removal of some features. Most newer buyers won't take the time to compare the old with the new and won't know they're getting less for more $$$. In the end if everyone's happy then it's all good.

Intersting post. In November I purchased a 2017 (built in july 16) Timber Ridge 270RKS. I was fully loaded with options, making it appear for all practical purposes like a Blackstone. Since ORV was changing the build and marketing philosophy, I was able to purchase this unit for a very good price. Today, the same unit (Blackstone only), with comperable features would cost me about $12k more!!

I bought a new Wind River in Feb of 2016, I haven't seen a trailer to date, and I have seen lots, that have the same quality of amenities, from the insulated windows, large tanks, wired for solar, amount a few, I knew when I saw it" it was the one". Sure it has had the typical trailer issues, but I still love this trailer. So I am sad to see this line go. Sigh..... safe travels.

Sadly our new WindRiver will go on the market here very soon. It's the 270cisw which we love but it's too small to live in fulltime and that is our plan once we sell our home as well. We fell in love with the Vanleigh Villano 365rl after looking at GD Solitude, KZ Durango Gold, Heartland BigHorn and Keystone Montana! They're aren't any of our model WR for sale here in NorCal. Hoping that's a plus!

With the Vanleigh 90 gallon grey and packing some extra water you'll be able to dry camping at Quartzite Az. for months

I'd take a look at the E range tires on Vanleigh. Might want to consider G range 16" or J range 17 1/2" Lots of people like Goodyear G614 and the Sailun S637 are excellent as well.

2800lb carrying capacity isn't allot for full timing might be worth looking to see if Vanleigh will do 8000lbs axles.

Yes we can get 8000# axles and G or H or J tires and 17.5 wheels if they offer it. We have a 1000# of stuff in our trailer now, can't imagine we'd add more than another 1000# on top of that!!
