Obtaining Decals

The large lettering decals on all sides and the oval decal on the front of our trailer came from the factory all scratched up. It must have been how they applied them. It looks like they used a wire brush.

The decorative decals are all fine.

I removed all of the other decals such as the “self adjusting brakes” decals.

The oval decal is also getting quite faded after just 2 years.

Has any one been able to get these from ORV? I had read a thread some time ago that you had to buy a whole set for $600 but I am guessing that probably was the decorative decals.

Since they change the style of the lettering each year I would guess it might not be possible to get the identical ones.

As an alternative you could have someone paint the logo/lettering on there? When I was VP OPS I had a fleet of 130 work trucks in 3 states. When we bought a new truck my fleet manager had an artist come out and hand letter the company logo, phone and license. Won't be any cheaper but won't fade the way decals will.

We have our work trucks wrapped, I wonder if a wrap company could help you with this?

I'm sure they could, but have you ever seen a wrap after 10 years? It looks just like vinyl decals only worse. If I were going to do anything I'd go the paint route.

Some folks simply remove those decals.

Decals

Two years ago, I was able to call ORV Parts department direct and get one specific decorative decal. That was when you could and not have to go through a dealer. Is ORV still not allowing us to contact them directly and order parts?

The decals on the front of ours started peeling a couple months after we bought it and we had to go through the dlr to get new ones but they were drop shipped from orv. They are still in the box and will never be used.

Yes. But I have heard of a few exceptions. Very few.
