ORV Factory Tour

My wife and I are headed to LaGrande next week to tour the factory. We already have one of their trailers, so this will give us a chance to better understand what is behind the wallpaper and paint.

Any suggestions regarding specific things to look for? If people want me to look at specific things for them I can try to do so.

They do not allow pictures, though.

Yes, see how the area behind the front cap looks on Mountain series. I'm thinking many wonder how the route solar wires behind it.
Thanks.

BPTS, I will try to get pics of the front cap (I presume you mean behind the front cap), but the company continues to stress no pictures.

Took tour last week. Taking pictures is not allowed. My aha moment was seeing the sensors on the tanks. It explains why the first half of the fresh water tank seems to go fast and the llast third last so long.

OK - so why is that?

I am interested in the tank sensors too, but from the perspective of changing to SeeLevel sensors.

Here is a picture of a crate of front caps outside factory. Between front cap is mounted to 2x2 on the front of the trailer and stuffed with pink insulation.

Because a few years ago somebody took and posted pictures of some prototypes that were being built and not released. Caused issues for the company. Also not all employees want their photo taken and published. The tour takes you right down the line amongst them. I was happy to see only wood used no MDF.

Choclabs, I meant why does the first half of the fresh tank go faster than the rest?

The prohibition on photos is apparently very common for RV factory tours.

If you want to see pictures, check out the three factory videos on Matt & Diana's Adventurous Ways YouTube channel. Very detailed.

I have watched those videos, and those two produce some excellent YouTube shows. Well done, informative, and always positive and up-beat.

Nothing like being there, and seeing more than someone elses camera shows.

It is a three-hour drive together there from our house, so it will wind up being a full-day excursion. LaGrande is in a fairly scenic area, so it should be a fun day.

Because the sensors are just 4 probes in the side of the tank. One near the top, one 1/3 down, 1 1/2 way down and last 2/3 the way down. When they become dry the light goes off. So when the 1/3 tank is all that is light you may only be 1 pint short of a 1/2 tank. When shows empty you can still have almost 1/3 a tank.
