Do you have to be close to the town? Joshua Tree is about an hour away, and Belle campground is lovely.

During my last visit to the Palm Springs area, one of the parks advertised they were family friendly (I have a granddaughter that lives and travels with us). After making a reservation, I read the fine print, all children/visitors must be over 40. I did get a little laugh at that and stayed somewhere else. JH

Love the Cochella Valley. Many options to choose from. If you are either an RPI member or Passport America member check out Catalina Spa in Desert Hot Springs.

Don't know your route but try to avoid any freeway headed out of LA in the afternoon and any freeway headed into LA in the morning. Also, the 5 freeway in cal, north and south would be better if it was a dirt road. When I go north I try to take the 395 when possible. It's a much nicer drive but it does take longer. The Cajon Pass is much easier than the Tejon Pass (grapevine).

We left Shadow Hills in Indio..on Monday 22 February. A small park, friendly,we had a grass site and it was small. It was pricey even for the Canadian $.
My favorite place to eat is the In and Out Burger. If you have a dirty truck and trailer your not a local...never saw so many clean vehicles in my life.
Lots to do in the Palm Speings area.
We must be a few days ahead of you by a couple of days.
Travel safely.

Hi Coops,
We are in Arizona City,Arizona (Quail Run RV Park) Lots of very nice Canadians.
Some have been coming here for 16 years. We leave here on the 18th of March and will go to Indio,California. Then onto Las Vegas and back home.
Have to see what the weather is like going through North Nevada(HGY 93) end of march or will go back through I-5. Will Just see what the weather is like, do not want to re winterize the Unit,
