The people at ORV really care. They care about what really matters. This is an example of their values and character. Thank you.

I have a warranty repair scheduled for mid April. Thats not going to happen. No biggie. The TT's still 100% usable. I'm sure I'll get a rain check.

Quality shows

Doesn't surprise me a bit that they'd put people ahead of profit. In all of my in-person contacts with orv I've felt cared about. Bet they'll go the extra mile to support their laid-off employees, too.

Yet another reason to be a proud ORV owner. Thanks for sharing the news.

3 weeks ago I ordered two exterior baggage doors from ORV for an exterior storage modification. OVR told me they needed to order them and would be 4-6 weeks before they could ship them to me. They arrived yesterday. Their customer service is amazing (under promise and over deliver).
Now that we are all supposed to stay home I have something to do this weekend.
Thanks ORV!!

Says in the article they have some staff honoring the warranty and scheduled service appointments so you might still be good there.

With the shutdown they probably just pulled from the next build inventory and ordered replacements.

Timing...

New guy, here with a funny story...

I completely agree and support the decision of the owners of ORV to temporarily close the facility to protect their personnel. We are currently waiting for our first trailer from ORV and are greatly looking forward to getting out on the road, so...sharing our personal journey...

We put our house of 32 years on the market on Tuesday and even with open house events forbidden, from all indications it will sell quickly. So we are guessing the house will close towards the later part of April.

Our next home is a 24RKS with factory installed solar that is currently in production in La Grange with an original expected delivery date of March 27. I was told yesterday by our dealer that our unit is one of the first units in the next production run of 24' trailers. This will be our home for at least the next two years.

With the production delay we may find ourselves "homeless" while we wait for the our new, tiny home or may see it within days of the closing of our house. We're a little old for couch surfing so we are looking at alternatives should we find ourselves between residences.

Either way we are ready for the adventure. As retirees we need to be open to new challenges And however it turns out it will be a good story to share around the campfire.

If the ORV employee community follows this thread we would like to send a message to them to stay well, stay safe, take care of one another and enjoy the time with family. We'll see our trailer when we see it...

Right there with you SRP11. Although I don't have the added excitement of selling the house, did sell the old trailer, am awaiting the build of our 24RKS also. Before the plant closure the assembly on our unit was to begin tomorrow, but as we know "the best laid plans of mice and men...". Just gives me more time to collect the modification bits.

Welcome to the ORV family! A round of applause for your resilience and positive attitude. Teddy Roosevelt has been quoted as saying, "Life is a great adventure . . . Accept it in such a spirit." It's obvious that you have and, without a doubt, you'll create many happy memories with your new rig.

Wishing you the best of luck,

Mary
