Just got back from camping (3 nights). Have a 2013 Creekside 22RB, never had any problems before. On the last day we 1) ran out of fresh water (72 gal) and 2) grey tank over flowed. No showers just dishes and washing up. Is there any way that the fresh water can somehow get into the grey water tank? We have been out numerous times, boondocking only, and never ran out of water and never any problems with holding tanks. I looked at several plumbing diagrams and can’t find a way that could happen. I did see that I didn’t change my hot water tank bypass valve until we got to campsite but pump was not on. I do keep a faucet turned on while driving. Anyone have a theory? No leaks at all. Thanks

First off, close that faucet unless water is needed. The only thing that comes to mind is fresh water siphoning through that open faucet. Have you checked each faucet for leakage, and shower? That is the ONLY way fresh water can get from that tank into the gray water tank. There is NO connecting plumbing other than what I mentioned. The water heater bypass is NOT connected to waste water plumbing either.

Perhaps it's just the newness of it all and you have been unaware up until now, of just how much water you've been using. It get's better!

We’ve had this for around 4 or 5 years and have used it a lot and this is the first time it’s happened. We usually boondock for a minimum of a week and sometimes up to 20 days so we can pretty much gauge our onboard resources. The previous reply is the most plausible I guess. Thanks

The only time I've heard of this happening it turned out to be the shower handheld that was hanging down on the shower floor and nobody noticed it was leaking.

It happened to me; accidentally left the pump on and a towel opened up the shower tap dumping all the FW into the shower until it filled the grey tank and overflowed... don't leave the pump on!

Same thing happened to us once. Laundry basket in the shower and wife left the water pump on. 16 miles from our camp spot to a half decent road I always stop there to check everything over. As soon as I got out, I heard the water pump running so I jumped in and shut it off. When we go home, the wife found that the laundry was soaked and the grey tank was full...and even with 11 days boondocking we never fill our grey as an outdoor shower tent is much better when you’re in the sticks
