Security safe for valuables/hand gun

Has anyone installed a small safe for valuables in their ORV? If so, where is a good place to install it and what brand and model worked well? Thanks.

I have one in the bedroom under bed. It is very concealed. I picked one off of Amazon with a combo and key backup. Don't remember name. Good luck.

I bought a fire rated Sentry Safe when I first purchased my coach and mounted it upright under the bed.

I used 3/8 Stainless Steel bolts and fender washers and nylon lock nuts on the inside and bolted it through the center support beam.

It is fire rated for 1 hour at 1500į and has ample room for a firearm, important documents and valuables.

I think I got it at Home Depot or Lowe's at the time. (See Photo)

IMHO....the fire rating and the protection it provides far outweighs the probably of theft from within the coach while traveling.Click image for larger version

Mines under the bed but not concealed. It's bolted down solid and uses both a key and number combo.

Hello there srtpr!
ORV uses V Line safes in their back Country series as standard equipment. Just looked at their website and the reviews are all pretty good.
Good Luck!

I don't use a "safe", but I did install a .50 Cal ammo box under the hood, in front of the Tx cooler, and I keep a couple of tools in there also. Plenty of room left for valuables too.

My back country came with said Vline safe..
Its attached under the cupboard next to the bed.
Not sure how its attached but given its attached
in plain sight ..we dont use it. It's big enough for a 1911 govt model and a few other valuables. It's not very big.
We dont use it because if we are not here it would be a simple task with a crowbar to tear it off
the cupboard.
It is in plain sight.
If TSHTF I dont feel I could wake up in time to remember the combo to retrieve said 1911 to defend us..
I may move it and put it either in the truck or under the bed as a safe for valuables..In case we are broken into wh0ile away at least the thieves wont tear up my cupboard for an empty safe.

We have three pillows on our queen size bed. My wife sleeps on one, I sleep on one and the other is a little heavier than the other two.

I'm interested in the same. I want a safe big enough to hold a laptop, wifes purse, spare meds, a little cash, important papers, etc... I would like to find one long enough to hold a long gun if it's a hunting trip. But that's not mandatory, I have a locking tool box on the tow truck.
RV's are not difficult to break into.
I'm looking for something that would fit in a TT or 5th wheel.
I'll be happy with something that prevents smash and grab stuff, while we are swimming or on one of those long walks on the beach!

We don't worry about it.
My sidearm is with me constantly, its not much good if it isn't.
We generally don't take valuables on a camping excursion.

Gee....with crime running rampant in the RV resorts I frequently stay in and burglaries to locked Class A motorhomes in the campground skyrocketing, I guess I should just forego the safe and remember to bring my firearm in my swimming trunks down to the pool.

You never know when happy hour can get out of control!!!

My ORV had the V-Line safe. It was easy to get into, and good to keep curious little fingers out. Not secure enough to deter a thief. Now that those curious little fingers are getting a little older and more talented I donít bring a firearm when the kids are around.

Mostly we camp in rural Idaho. There is some risk of theft (I lost a very nice inflatable boat a few years ago), but personal safety is not a significant concern.

My AF has a key-lock box under the bed. Out of sight. Iíve not used it yet.
