Cool Separation

Seems to be my week for separations. While driving Down Californias wonderful hwy 4 in the delta, very turbulent, the drawer under the dinette booth, and the entire face frame separated from the booth frame. Turns out they used cheap staples to hold it together. So, ace hardware here we come. I screwed small angle brackets in all four corners to firmly anchor the thing so it will never happen again. Luckily, no damage to the cosmetics. No the drawer was not overloaded.

One of my dinette drawers was wonky from the get go. Had a tech try and fix it during PDI. After I got home and started loading up stuff it gave out again. I had to completely dissemble the drawer and guides and realign everything and refasten all of it. It's worked perfect since.
After you start doing mods and such and start dipping into the bowels of your ORV trailer you'll find that it's no different than anything else out there.

I especially appreciate all the debris they leave behind when building their trailers! So much FOD everywhere. Pull out any drawer near the floor and look inside. Even the power panel and converter cabinet had FOD.

They use claw hammers to make holes I think, in areas you don't see. Loose wood screws abound. 2" wood screws used in panels 1/2" thick to cut the crap out of you.

Don't even get me started on the cheap foam in the dinette.

Cheep "pleather" recliners look like crap now. 4 years old.

Another case of poor quality control.
When are the RV mfg's going to realize they need quality control inspections. The cost of QC inspector's would surely be less than the cost of dealers doing warranty work!
Rant over.
