Swiped gas station pilon guard
Well, I finally did it. Tried to get into a gas station on my 2 week Rocky Mountains maiden voyage and I ended up barely touching a red cement pillar pilon pump protector at the gas pump island. I stopped as soon as I touched it. But as you can see from the photos the black rubber bumper separated from the bottom.
What should I do? I have $500 predictable insurance but it seems I can just unscrew those screws some more. Then use super glue and then right the screws down and keep pressure on the black rubber trim bumper while the wood glue dries. Thoughts?

I would use trim glue found at auto part stores.

I feel your pain. Been there, done that. For me it turned out to be a $1000 repair to two basement doors. Those pillars seem to have legs and just Jump right out as your passing by.

I almost feel your pain.
Two weeks after getting my new trailer I stopped at a gas station. When I got out I saw I was 1" away from the pillar.
I now make wider turns and don't let the gas get below 1/4 tank.

You lucked out , when I did that it was thousands of dollar damage. Hit right behind the steps and even took out the hot water heater. I must have had a senior moment. It happens to us all. Don't fret it. it can be repaired.

Thanks guys. I knew I got really lucky I saint do any serious damage. So if I unscrew the trim a little more what kind of adhesive or silicon should I use before screwing it down again?

Should be easy to tackle.....use some good poly glue and loosen the hold downs, tuck it back in with the glue and re tighten. You don't want water intrusion here. Replace any hardware as needed.
Any minor damage to the caulking seam can be repaired easily as well. Unless I missed it, I don't see any damage to the shell or floor/frame.
Don't use Gorilla glue for this repair....it expands too much when curing.
Best wishes for a good outcome!

Stop by your dealer and show them what you did. My thought is you can replace the trim strip by unscrewing it, lay in the sealant your dealer suggests and re-screw. As others have said, we've all been there. No shame.
