Trimetric install in glacier peak

Hello everyone;

Going to install a trimetric battery monitor in the 2016 GP RLS.

Looking for suggestions/tips/hints from those of you that have already done this.

Thinking that the shunt will be somewhere near the two 6v batteries, and run the 4 wire signal cable thru to the side wall of the refrigerator. There is clearance in that wall, (2") and access from the basement using the vent stacks already drilled and routed near there in the furnace area below.

Sound doable? Any ideas appreciated.

Thanks!

Take every wire off the negative battery post and put them on one side of the shunt.

Get a new, short cable, and run it from the shunt to the negative post.

If you leave any wires, other than the new cable, on the negative post, the AH count will be off.

Not sure about the Trimetric shunt, but I was able to mount the shunt for my monitor right on the neg post of the battery. Makes things a little crowded but it's compact.

Post a few pictures if you can of your install when completed. I'm planning the same install at the end of April when I can finally get my 5th wheel out of winter storage.
