Thank you....reports tend to be overblown for the LA area and where we live.

We need the water though!

Yes, you need it but slow enough to soak in to the ground would REALLY help.

We (well, myself, anyway) are fans of that show too. FYI, all the previous seasons are available on Netflix.

Been in So Cal all my life. The media here is set on making everything a crisis. Low rain, we're in a 100 year drought, we get a few storms and we're on flood watch. The real issue is in the canyons below the burn areas. We don't get even close to the weather that other parts of the nation gets. People here drive in the rain like they do in dry weather and everyone is in their way, so accidents happen.

On a side note,, Today we laid to rest a young Pomona City police officer shot in the line of duty, Funeral carried live on local TV, very moving service.

Drove Coq or Coquihalla at least once a week for 10 years...winter and summer. As Rickeoni says not a great highway in best of times.
This year has been terrible....no problem for us we wintered in Hemet California.
Hit black ice and played bumper cars with the centre medium and went off road right into the ditch...ok but Jeep Liberty wasn’t.
If Coq was crappy in winter took highway # 1 through the Fraser Canyon...better but not great.

Please stay safe all...it’s not nice to fool Mother Nature.

Coops, thanks for the good wishes!

As mentioned by others, there may be some parts of SoCal that can experience heavy downpours at times, but for the most part it's not as serious as typically announced. Storms tend to lessen in their severity as they reach the far southern parts of our Golden State.

EX. I'm in near the Hemet area and this recent "Big Storm" passed through with some rain but nothing like was announced. Sprinkles on/off for most of today with a few times of steady rain.
