Question Winterizing 2021 BackCountry Series TRX

We picked up our 2010 Backcountry ORV with hopes of getting out before the winter weather came. Not so lucky. As the storm moves across Rockies with plenty of cold cold temps we went ahead and winterized the trailer. The only interesting thing we ran into was the exterior spray washer. No anti-freeze would run into it. We did drain the low point and ran the pump until no water was coming out and took off the plastic cap with the screen in it.

Talked to the service person at the dealership and they said it isn't suppose to have anti-freeze run into. They thought it was odd being made that way but that's what they were told.

Seem odd to anyone else?

Thoughts?

If you used the pump to pump antifreeze into the system, then it would have gone into all the cold water lines.

They sell a plug you can put on the city water connection, and use a compressor to force all the water out of the system when all the taps are open.

Not sure why they told you it wouldn't get antifreeze in the outside hose wash.

There could be an issue if an owner accidently used the outside hose and forgot about the antifreeze being in there.

Glad I don't have to winterize here!

I have a 2020BD Mtn Trx and had the same question. Called the factory and they said the toy sprayer isn't hooked to the water system but is pumped directly from the fresh water tank. They said you just take off the plastic filter thingy to break the suction, open the stop cock to drain the line. No need for antifreeze.

Thanks...that's what we are doing. Was going to e-mail ORV customer service the question but you've already done that and got the same reply we did from our local service tech. I will remove the clear cap and double check the line is clear of water.
Thanks again!
