2000 American Clipper Chassis Batteries 24V ???

I have a 2000 Rexhall American Clipper C26.

I was checking chassis battery voltages and discovered that my RV has two 24V batteries connected in parrallel. Fine, it might have a 24V to !2V converter somewhere but I haven't found it.

Even if it does have a converter I don't see how this system could word because the charge voltage to the batteries reads 15V unloaded.

So there is no way that the 24V batteries can be charged to capacity!

I suspect the previous owner had the wrong batteries installed and my RV should have two 12V batteries.

Your help would be much appreciated.
