Hey Y'all
I have a 36' 2000 Rexair with 2 large slides.
The bedroom slide has a leaking Hydraulic Cylinder. Easy fix right?
Not so... I can't figure out how to remove this cylinder without taking the entire slide/room out of the RV.
The cylinder is inside of a Box Tube, which is inside of a larger Box Tube.
Neither end has sufficient space to pull the cylinder out.
Who designed this mess?
Has anyone figured out an easy way to remove and replace these cylinders?
I have searched the Interwebs for 2 days now, with no luck!

They had to pull my entire slide to have the cylinders rebuilt byHTH

I am experiencing the same problem. I was able to remove the hose from the ram and the square end cap from the end of the beam on the other side for the motorhome. But I can not figure out how to disconnect the ram from the slideout end.

The slide has to be removed to reebuild the cylinder

Thanks for the reply's gentlemen.
But I found the easiest way to fix this issue...... was to sell the unit, and buy something newer. LOL

I had RV doctor replace my cylinder in the slide. A week later the other cylinder went out, they had to pull the entire slide both times to remove the sylinders and send them to MTH to be rebuilt, They also reset my drivers side windshield and it just came out again on this trip. I will never use the again!
