What sort of "Power" are you trying to get "from the batteries", 12VDC or 120VAC?
What is the battery voltage?
Which make and model of converter did you install?
What make and model of "limiter" did you replace?
What type of power are you getting on shore power?12VDC, 120VAC, both?

I can't remember the name, but there should be like an auto switch that when shore power is unpluged closes and switches to 12v house batteries. Then again I may be all wet.

Not understanding your issue.

Having a problem with 12vdc system or 120vac system?

If 120vac - sources can be shore power or generator power, or inverter via batteries. Which is working and which not working?
