When I plug it in to shore, the device starts knocking under the dash like it's opening and closing. It continues until there's enough juice to hold it open (or closed) I don't know which.
Any idea's on what and why this happens? I can't be the only one with this issue.
Is it possible that your HVAC box is creating the knocking noise? For example, if the A/C or heater is constantly trying to switch its position from defrost to mid-level airflow, to foot area airflow?
Just a shot in the dark, but it is the only thing I can think of that would make such a noise.
