Removed carpet in bathroom

Just got done removing all of the carpet in my motorhome and replaced it with vinyl floating floor. Now the toilet flange sticks up about 3/8' above the new floor. Can't remove as its glued to the top of the tank. The bottom of our toilet is flat. Looks like the only thing I can do is make a spacer out of acrylic and put it down first. Can make a templet of the bottom and cut it out with a jig saw.

Anyone else ran into this problem?

What kind of glue? Is it actual ABS glue or some sort of sealant?

I ask because I'm in the process of installing a new black tank due to the old one being destroyed from getting rear ended in I-10 in AZ. This in a '98 Safari Trek. The pipes leading into the black tank inserted into a thin plastic fitting and were sealed with some sort of goopy sealant along with two worm drive hose clamps.. I applied a modest amount of heat with a hair dryer to heat up the sealed area a bit and the pipes pulled out quite easily with a twisting notion.

Good luck. Removing carpeting from a bathroom is always a good thing.

Well I actually got lucky because the bottom of the toilet had a recess molded in it that fit around the toilet flange, so when I put the new seal on it and pushed down on it on put the nuts back on it drawed down on the floor. I guess I was looking to far down the at a problem that didn't exist

Sure like the vinyl floor a lot better then the carpet.
