Rexair gen fuel line

Just got a '97 Rexair and unfortunately it came with a bad generator fuel line. Generator runs fine from a separate fuel source. Replacing the fuel line involves dropping the fuel tank, the repair shop estimated $1600. I can't find any access through the floor. Any other options? Possibly installing an aux tank in the next cargo hold?

If the generator fuel line is bad, the engine fuel line is probably the same age. If you empty the fuel tank, dropping one isn't that big a chore with blocks, jacks, etc.

The other option might be to cut a hole in the floor to access the top of the tank. Of course there's the sealing and patching of the 'hatch' you'd be creating.
