Shift cable

2002 rexhall rexair. 3550 bsl. V10 gas.
Shift cable was laying against exhaust and finally snapped. Lucky we just pulled into a park outside Kingman AZ . Called 3 state area. No luck. Obsolete part.
F81z7e395aa any ideas.

You may be able to find a local company that makes push/pull cables that can provide a replacement. My quick online search didn't find anything, but these are often small shops. Might need to look in Phoenix, but there should be a shop that can make a replacement. If you have no luck, Dayton Clutch and Joint in Dayton, OH (800-885-7804) is a local company I have used. They might know of a company near you

Another option is to call a local speed or hot rod shop. They probably have a place they use for custom cables.

Thanks for info. In Mesa now, should be more shops. No fun crawling underneath to change gears.

For the moment I ordered a f-550 cable to jury rig it. Will be too short as the f-53 cable is 105 inches, but up thru the doghouse as a push-pull unit. Then look for a cable business.

Noticed someone else had same problem. Tried salvage yards all over US, No luck. Found California push-pull in Chico Calif. They think they can help, now to get old part down there.

Took old trans shift cable and one off f-series truck (they still make them) to Calif. Push-Pull in Chico. Made one out off two for 165.00.
