We just purchased our 1st rv!!
Hi iRV2!! My name is Kim. My husband and I just purchased our 4th and hopefully final, at least for somewhat of a good time, RV. It's a 1991 Rexhall Airex RV. But, we're having several issues on how to run everything properly.
1) fridge was working, now it's not
2)connecting and functioning water lines and pumps etc...
3)gas gauge not working
4)dash heat and air condition doesn't work
5)RV leveler doesn't seem to want to work
So far, so good otherwise 🤞🤞!! Any and all help greatly appreciated.
THANK YOU!!
Happy New Year BTW!!!

We have a different year and model Rexhall so the systems may be different, but here is some basic info that may help you. If I'm covering things you already know, I apologize.
Fridge. Check that lights on the control board are lit. Fridge requires 12 volts to work. If no lights check 12 volt fuse and or your coach batteries for charge. When you are not hooked up to 120 volts, the fridge uses propane. Be sure the propane valve is open and propane is flowing by lighting a stove burner. If you are able to plug in to 120 volt source, plug in and see if fridge works on 120.
Water connections. Our Rexhall has a control valve at the inlet for the fresh water. The valve can be set to fill the onboard storage tank or to flow directly into the water system. There may also be a second water connection for flushing the gray and black tanks. IT also has a valve that directs water to either the gray or black tank. Hopefully, the valve labels are still legible. There is probably a fresh water pump switch on the control panel. IF you have water in the fresh tank, turning on the fresh water pump should provide water to the faucets. The gray and black tank drains are the two manual handles in the outside water compartment with the fresh water connection. The gray is the 1 1/2 inch line.
Gas gauge. Many potential fixes. IF you are comfortable using a multi meter, start checking for power at the tank to and from the gas tank.
Dash heat. If the blower isn't working, check for a blown fuse in the circuit. Can't help with the exact location of the fuse, but it will be in the fuse panel under the dash. If the fuse is ok, the problem is probably a bad connection, bad switch, or bad blower motor. Will take some time with your meter to find.
Leveler. Our system requires the emergency brake to be on and the ignition switch in either "AUx" or "On" position. There is a separate switch and fuse on our leveler control panel as well. If the control panel is lit, check the fuse for the pump and the fluid level in the reservoir.
Hard to provide specifics without knowing the brand and model of the Fridge and Leveler system. Pictures of the water connections would also be beneficial if the hints above don't seem to fit.
Hope the info helps.
