adding day trips during a locked-in stay
Hi,
I have locked the dates for campground reservations. From the campground, we have day trips that also have reservations (eg. restaurant, boat tours). I cannot add them, even with 0 nights, since the dates overlap. Is there a way to keep track of this information other than using the comment box?

I'd create a new trip for the day trips. Easier to manage IMO.

Try this... If your stay at the CG is multiple nights, then only lock the 1st night (1night stay), and then put a 2nd entry in for that same CG (not locked) for the remaining nights of your stay (nights 2 thru whatever). You should then be able to add your side trip entries in between the two CG entries as Zero Night Stays. Let us know if that works.

That seems to work, as long as none of the side trips are locked (e.g. reservation for tour ). Good enough with comment fields, and hopefully our own memory

Just a comment about locking... I don't ever lock anything but a CG stay, and I seldom lock those. Locking 0 night activities (day trips, attractions, tours, etc.) in my experience adds another of complexity to your trip plan that doesn't really pay back commensurate with the added complexity of having multiple locked dates, and the effort to track and manage them all. There's always an exception to that statement, but I view locking itself as an "exceptional" vs. standard practice. JMO
