Bad route. Manassas, VA to Big Meadows Campground, VA

This route tries to go on dirt roads and the long way around. Should go down 29 to 33 then on skyline drive to big meadows. If coming from the north on skyline there is a 12.? Tunnel and I am 13.?

Probably need a lot more information, but if I had to guess, I'd say you have "Avoid Highways" turned on.

St Mary’s tunnel is 12’8 IIRC. So US 29 and 33 is your best route. The dirt roads that come in from the east your GPS might be routing ,are fire roads and steep, one of which I know was gated in 2019. Like PB posted, you need to check your preferences and avoidances.

Ok, checked avoidances, ok there. Changed trip to standard routing, good route.
I have 37 feet long, 13 feet high and 14000lbs. Don’t like this setup. Keeps me going west of skyline drive. What else can I check?

Would that be 12'8" at the center? Or 12'8" at the outside edge of the lane?

As I was planning my upcoming trip to Big Meadow's camp grounds, it is giving me the same route, though I input my height, length, weight. I'm traveling from Aldie VA, decided to travel route 66. I was sold on all the bells and whistles of this app, but not sure now. Looks like I need to invest in GPS (I was being cheap). I'm traveling to all the National Parks starting July 7th, First stop at Shenandoah National Park, then to Acadia. My RV is 13.5, 31 feet long and 18k weight.
