Big Rig Friendly
Alright... This might be the stupidest question ever on this site.
What does the "Big Rig Friendly" icon really mean.
I grew up thinking a "big rig" is a tractor-trailer rig.
I doubt that it means this in this case, but maybe it does.
Is there a definition?

I always went with the 40ft. and above rule, though in my mind it's anything with a tag axle, at least with regard to Motorhomes. 5th wheels get pretty massive in their own right. The 40ft+ rule is a good start.

I tend to go with the over 40 ft length rule, often this means pull through sites that are over about 55 ft in total length, as well as wide internal roads, etc.

And hopefully trees over the roads are cut upwards to clear 13' 6" tall coaches. Although, I am finding that is not always the case. -Bill

True, I recently drove by a seemingly abandoned corporate RV park (thousand trails?) which required either driving under a 10'6" underpass or driving miles out of the way to access. Made me wonder if the person that decided to put it there ever even visited the site, looks like a great place to put an RV park on the map or even on google satellite view, if it were not for the pesky old underpass.

Did that underpass show up on the RVTW hazards on your map? If not, please send them an email with that info so the next guy knows.

Was this a CG listed on RVTW, or did you just find it and try to enter it on your own? Also, if there's another way in, it sounds like you tried the back door
