It appears that the only place to enter campground cost is in "Camping Total." I would like to enter a daily rate and have the software calculate the total based on the daily rate times the number of days. is there a way to do this?

That allows you to set the daily cost of the campground. Then, when you enter the number of nights for your stay, the program will calculate the total cost of that stop.

Many try to use RVTW as an expense tracking tool in addition to it's many primary features. But it's purpose is for planning across all it's capabilities with the added feature of using the routing plan with a GPS or smart device. Expense tracking is not one of those features. In my case, I use a separate very capable expense tracking program for all our income/expense activity, travel or otherwise. It's a heck of a lot easier to do that than to try and force RVTW to do it. I never had any expectations that RVTW would include all the incremental programming required to track and report all the various categories of expenses that might be incurred in our travels. That would end up being a whole different suite of features
