Custom Stops - Custom Icons

Just working my way through RVTW and I am figuring things out. I did a search and saw some threads on custom icons; however, I haven't seen an answer for additional custom icons, or adding our own...

Basically, what I am finding is that, especially here in Canada, the official POIs for gas stations, etc. are extremely limited as there are very few Flying J's, Costco gas stations in larger metropolitan areas, etc. I have supplimented by using Gas Buddy to find gas stations and adding in custom stops, but the icons are just a letter or number. I would like to use a gas station icon, a restaurant or others.

Any chance of getting that?

The custom icons can be changed if you click the pencil next to a stop and scroll down. Not a great selection. I will suggest that icons be added to. I am not sure these are under our control.


We are aware of the fuel station issue. If you go to a campground, click the "i" and scroll down a bit,you will see nearby gas stations. Currently that map isn't working but should be fixed next week.

Thanks Sue, thanks for the speedy response.

I found that the use of Gas Buddy along with custom stops worked great (not sure if the update next week will have a similar capability; however, I will give it a try). And if a few custom icons could be added, that would be awesome!

Not sure if the gas link has been fixed yet, still not showing in Canada. Not sure if this might not be a better option - https://www.gasbuddy.com/home

We are still working on a solution to the fuel stops. Gas Buddy does not share their database.

Ahh, ok. I was just thinking that the link in the campground calls a separate web page, if that was the direction, one web page may work rather than another. I will be patient

A couple hundred links per day would raise a few questions.
