Feature Suggestion: Filters : Online Booking

Would be nice if could check filter option to narrow campgrounds to those that are bookable online

RVTW interconnects with campgroundreviews.com, but even Campground Reviews does not know which campgrounds of over 20,000 can be booked online. Whew.

Generally,I plan a route where I, want to stop using filters for memberships, hookups, amenities, etc. and check reviews. Then I follow the link to the CG's website to make a reservation whether online or email or by phone.

Many nice reasonably priced CGs for one night don't have online reservation capability. I know of a 4-5 that don't have online capability, even so, they usually have way to request a reservation via email. A few that we've stayed at don't even require a deposit with a phone call. More and more are automating. One particular favorite CG recently added ability to reserve online.

Of course, KOA CG's can all be booked thru the KOA website. All US Govt National Parks, National Forests, Corp of Engineers, Bureau of Land Management Parks are booked thru www.recreation.gov. Many state & county parks are booked thru www.reserveamerica.com

I agree with the above post. If there was the capability to filter as you would like to, I think the result would be that you would, by default, deprive yourself of the opportunity to experience a lot of very nice CG's that don't have that capability. As one who makes reservations as part of our trip planning, I don't think the #'s of CG's are so many that having all of the potential sites around the point that we'll be stopping at makes the selection process overly burdensome. Also, I do typically use the # of Stars filter to weed some out if there are just too many in a location to reasonably look at them all.

Thanks for the great tips! I would envision having the filter turned OFF by default and actually having it turned OFF myself most of the time. However, with campgrounds so busy, and for just an overnight stay , I would prefer first starting with campgrounds that had online booking, to limit non productive phone calls.
