Fuel cost error
Why is an overnight stop with no fuel taken on, showing a fuel cost at the stop?

It's showing your total expenses for the day - you burned fuel to get there so it's showing you what that cost...

Hmmm. Is that how it is capturing the cost of the fuel from my starting position that isn’t recorded any where? My leg look like this
Left site with full tank - no cost logged
Two fuel stops, reset tank so it added appropriate cost at each
Stop for over night - did not enter fuel but it changed expense. Is the fuel used to fill up before I left
Normally I wouldn't give a care about tracking cost, but if it is going to do it, then my OCD has to be accurate 🤣🤣

Jeff, in your initial profile set up you told Trip Wizard how much fuel you carry, how much of a reserve you want to keep , what your fuel mileage (MPG) is and what your estimate of the cost per gallon for fuel. Trip Wizard bases all of it's costs off of that data and how far you have traveled between stops. When planning my trips I always start out with a full tank of fuel (I've usually traveled maybe 30 - 40 miles by then but close enough) and when I see the needed fuel symbol I know where to look for a fuel station. When I have selected one I will tell Trip Wizard I have a full tank, reset my starting point, and then look for the next 'need fuel, symbol and keep doing that for the entire trip. Nothing is 100% and everything about Trip Wizard is just a planning tool. For real time accuracy you will need to keep a log for your fuel costs. I use an app on my phone called 'FILLUP' that works great for keeping track of my fuel expenses and even provides plots of costs and mileage etc. Hope this answers your questions. Mike

I do understand all of that. My question is why does a stop I have, show a fuel cost for that stop when I did not enter any information about taking in fuel at that stop. It is just a sleep over with no fuel added

It's showing what it cost to get to that stop. You left leg 1 with $50 worth of fuel. You drove 10 miles to leg 2. What your rig drank between leg 1 and 2 is the cost it's showing. Not that you added fuel - just that of the $50 you started with, your rig drank $10 of that.
