Gravel road icon

I've been using Trip Wizard for 4 years now and love it! Forgive me if this has been discussed before, but lately I've gotten diamond shaped icons that I've been told are "gravel roads" (looks like a car with gravel slinging from the side). The darn things cover up campgrounds I'm checking on to the point I have to zoom way in to separate them and click on the info. I've contacted a member here and they suggested turning off the "avoid unpaved roads" in trip settings, or change routing to "standard" instead of "rv". I've done both and nothing changes. Anybody have any ideas to make these go away? Here's a blown up screen shot of it completely covering a park.

We spoke before. When you turned off unpaved roads did you do it in Default or Trip Settings? Trip Settings affect the current trip while Default affects future trips.

I have it un-checked in both trip and default settings. Also standard routing in both.

I checked the previous release and discovered the icon was smaller and offset a bit but would always be there.

I also discovered that if you zoom in far enough the paved road icon disappears. This is most likely a bug.

I agree with you if the unpaved roads is not checked the icon should not be there.

I'm having the same problem with gravel road icon overlaying the campgrounds and now it is also overlaying a waypoint created by dragging a route. I don't even think there is a gravel road involved. I need to move the waypoint slightly but can't even see it anymore. I've been using RVTW for over a year and these gravel road icons are new to me and they are more a problem than useful information. RVTW programmers are working on a resolution. We are hoping for an implementation in the next few weeks, no ETA.

Usually this is triggered by the entrance to the campground. You can verify on Google Maps for now.

Regarding the gravel road icon overlaying my waypoint, I zoomed in to the max and the waypoint I created by dragging a route was not exactly on the road I selected. I don't know if there really was a gravel road involved or maybe no road, but it wasn't near a campground. Like overlaying the campground icon, the "work around" for this issue is to zoom in as far as possible and get a little separation between the icon and waypoint. I can deal with it now so I can be more patient for the software fix. Thanks for the quick response. Greg

Thanks for posting. I could not get the hazard to enlarge to show what it is. Why doesn't it show in list of hazards? I can't find a way to expand the list of buttons, the only hazard thhat shows with an explanation is for height.

gravel road hazard sign

I am having the same problem. I can not get ride of the gravel road hazard sign. I tried all the comments and they are still there. The previous version did not have that issue.
Thank you

The previous release had the same problem and could not be turned off. The difference is that the previous release had the hazard offset. We are working on a fix. Here is the old release:
