Harvest Hosts
I would like to reopen the discussion about Harvest Hosts.
We find them to be a great alternative to 'traditional' camping locations and would like to see integration with RVTW.

You will need to contact HH. RVTW has reached out to them.
Harvest Hosts is a great service for RV'ers. Unfortunately, since they are a paid subscription service, we have no access to their databases and cannot provide accurate or up to date information on their locations and services. If you know of a location you wish to use on your trip, you can always right-click the map at that location and create a Custom Stop.

I opened a support ticket with HH back in November about this and received this answer:
Thank you for your inquiry into connecting Harvest Hosts with RV Trip Wizard. At the current time, we are working on changing technology and updating our systems at Harvest Hosts. I have passed along the suggestion to our owner, Joel Holland, and this is something he might look into the future after we finish all of the changes we are making.
Feel free to open a ticket with them and get your voice added.

Curious what the point would be of a HH membership if the host contact info was readily available via RVTripWizard?
Isn't the entire membership based on only having boondocking access to these venues if you have a HH membership? It's not like a host would have any incentive to check that you were a member first - I don't believe they are directly compensated by HH but rather via "guest" purchases.
Said another way, why would HH want this information to be readily available outside their "membership" concept?

Since Harvest Hosts requires a membership to find out the locations, we do not put their locations into Trip Wizard. We do not think this would be right. However, I do encourage you to let Harvest Hosts know that you would like them to work with Trip Wizard, we can add their locations in a way that would be visible to only Harvest Host members.

I’d like it so when we’re planning a long trip we could easily see if an HH location was a reasonable alternative to a paid campground for a one-night stop. A lot more relaxing stay, a place for dinner, etc.
You do have to provide your HH membership info when booking because they’re all done over the phone. Since most seem to only be able to handle a handful of motorhomes I’d guess they’re using HH as a way to get customers they otherwise would not have, but not too many due to space limitations. HH could improve their traffic on non-weekends.
Actually, you can go to the HH website map, switch it to the Google Maps satellite view, and zoom in on their map and see the actual name. So it’s not a big secret.
RVTW would need an API, an Application Programming Interface, which is a way of automatically pulling the information so it’s always up to date. HH has no incentive to build and secure an API interface from the Internet unless there is a good demand. So HH customers need to make the request.
HH likely already has an API just so their own app can work, so it should not be a huge endeavor. But they are a small operation.

It sounds like HH members need to let their voices be heard - after all RVTW shows parks affiliated with military FamCamps - which are also restricted to "members" only.

Here's the response I received from HH yesterday:
"Thank you for your feedback. At this time, our owner is choosing not to partner with Trip Wizard. While we think they have a fantastic product, our product IS our Host list and it is proprietary. We aren't ready to share it. Hopefully, that is understandable.
On each Host information page, there is an option to click on the map and it will connect for you. "

Not surprising. I understand, if you never ask, you'll never know for sure. Now you know.

Agreed. Could be that in RV Trip Wizard you need to enter your HH membership ID to see those sites. Would need to be added to Trip Wizard's filters too.

HH gave me the coordinates to their parks, which I load as needed to my GPS.
