How to remove big purple target?

Anyone know how to get rid of this big purple target after you have searched for a place and then added it?

If I recollect correctly from previous posts, you need to get out of RVTW, and clear your cache. Whether you also need to close your browser and restart it, I'm not sure. Try a search re: cache and you'll probably find some added info.

I just cleared my cache last night for the other screwed up function. Cache clearing (which never works) can't be the only answer for everything.

EDIT:Closing the site and re-opening did get rid of the purple pointer.

Those are actually left on the map intentionally. The idea is to leave them on the map in case you want to add to your trip. it will go away when you exit the trip, either by opening another trip or exiting the app.

I have a related question...Is it possible to temporarily remove "stops" from the full map, then turn them back on? I like to do screen shots for my own reference or to share and the big red stop balloons obscure a large area. Thanks!

The only way to remove icons created in your Trip Planning is to delete the stop. Once you delete the stop the routing will be changed. Alternative: create a GPX file and import into MyMaps.
