How to stop automatic rerouting?

Is there a way to stop automatic rerouting enroute? I had a route from Eastland, TX to Canadian, OK and 2 routes were offered; one was bypassing Dallas by going North out of Ft. Worth. After starting the trip in Eastland, I immediately stopped to fuel up at the freeway entrance and RVTW rerouted. I didn’t think much of it since I simply pulled off the road. When I checked the route after filling up, I discovered that RVTW put me right back through Dallas.

It would be nice if there was some way of turning this off or being notified of the details when rerouted.

Just to be sure, are you using the RVLife app on your phone for your routing?

Any time I have an issue with several options I add a waypoint on the desired route that forces the route I prefer.

Yes, I started with the RVLife app then chose RV Trip Wizard then a destination from an existing trip. It auto routes but gave me an option to bypass Dallas which is what I selected. I’ve encountered rerouting before but it’s usually because we pulled off the highway for fuel or a rest and the ‘main route’ stayed the same.

This is my first encounter with being rerouted back to an option that I chose not to take. FWIW I don’t blindly follow the route and always check before moving which is how I discovered this. The only option I found was to back out and start over to get on the preferred route.
