I can't get Trip Wizard to advise fuel stops.

With the death of SA and S&T, I have been working at learning Trip Wizard, Furkot and CoPilot. I cannot get TW to shift fuel stops when we take on fuel. I also can't seem to get it to read the GPS hooked to the laptop.

None of the standalones are good at fuel either and my eyes aren't good enough for a 7" screen.

Am I missing something?

I just received this. If you put the RVlifeApp on a tablet maybe your problems are mostly solved.

After you add the fuel stop, presumably around or before the warning triangle, go into the fuel stop and enter the number of gallons in the Fuel Added box. The warning triangle will reappear at the next logical place. Trip Wizard will not read the GPS. If you have a Rand McNally, there is a reasonable way to export the Trip to be read by the Rand. If it's Garmin, you have to use Basecamp, and much more complicated. The RVLife App would be a nice addition.

I have never even looked at the RVLife App.

I am hoping to get a system again that the navigator can use to advise fuel and EOD stops while underway. We were both real good with both SA and S&T, but it has been real bad ever since. They are now both so out of date as to be a problem.

We don't have a tablet that can be dedicated to this.

We have tried to use internet connected things, but even with the repeater, we have bad coverage too much of the time. Google maps you can download, but twice we had to stop and go back an hour to get a good enough connection to reload what we missed.

My new back up is to print a big copy of our carrier's claimed coverage and track on that.

This all used to be so easy.

I try to get my fuel from Flying J as much as possible because of the ease of getting in and out. I have the Flying J POI set to show all of them along my route. Prior to printing my trip report I figure out which one's I want to use by how many miles I have traveled. I also look at the particular Flying J to make sure they have the RV pumps and I add them as a stop. They are then shown in my trip report.
