I run that same I-10 route several times a year - sorta. We live in St Augustine FL and I have family in the Lafayette/Opelousas, LA area. I-10 does not have any overpasses or bridges that you should need to be concerned with. The tunnel in Mobile is the closest thing I can think of but 18 wheelers run in and out of it all day long.
Be wary of construction in Louisiana in the Covington area on I-10. Mobile, AL has been a slow area the past few times we've been through going East. Otherwise you should be fine. Good Luck.
