Miles and Time

I am just starting to use Trip Wizard.
Can someone tell me if the time from pt. A to pt. B is calculated based on the speed limit of the road (type of roads} or based on the average speed that you put into the account settings at the beginning? Thx.

I don't know about Trip Wizard but a good rule of thumb is 50 mph average. This has held up over 5 years.
