Mouse won't drag Map?
Why won't my mouse "move" the whole Route Display at times, it will but then it won't? Zoom in or out doesn't help, very annoying & has been doing this for awhile? Suggestions? Thanks, Dave

Have you tried a different mouse? I mainly use a BT mouse and when the battery gets old, weird things occur. I always bring a wired mouse with me on our trips as a backup. -Bill

Are you zooming with the scroll wheel on the mouse? I have run into the no pan situation also. If I use the +/- zoom button instead of the scroll wheel, the map pan resumes.

I've noticed something like that.
What I've found is that something is usually highlighted in the Your Trip pane on the left side of the screen. Usually takes one or two right clicks on an open area of the map to clear it, and normal operation returns.
I've thought it was an issue with my mouse and laptop. I use an external monitor, BT keyboard and BT mouse. Normally. Going to a wired USB mouse did not correct the occasional behavior.
So, I had to adapt and change my process slightly.
Not surprising to have to do that.
Been messing with these infernal boxes since about 1983 and having to change my process is something I've had to do often. Especially in the 1998-2008 decade when I worked in corporate IT.

Dave et al,
Anyone definitively figure this out?
For me, the problem is intermittent. Good or weak batteries in my mouse doesn't matter. I've been able to highlight items in either the Research or Trip tabs and drag the map. Other times, without highlighting anything in either tab, Trip Wizard wont "drag & drop" the map. So frustrating.
I look forward to hearing from anyone who has the same problem and has resolved it.
Thanks,
Bob

I have the same problem, I double click on the map and it seems to start working after that.

My wife has this on her laptop.
Sometimes she has to close the tap and restart the whole thing. Mostly refreshing the page does the trick, but it sure is annoying!
I'll have her try a double click and look for a highlight.

Trip Wizard Highlighting Issue
All,
Thanks all. Your comments have been helpful. I also appreciate your time to respond. So…This issue is definitely one of highlighting the user can’t see. The solution appears to be when the map won’t move to double click on the map. The you can move it. This solution seems to work consistently for me.
Thanks all!
Bob

Another point, which may or may not be true - just my thoughts.
I think I see this issue more during times of low connectivity.
Also, some of my RVTW sessions are quite lengthy. After a couple hours, it seems to be occurring more frequently. Which I take as a sign to save the trip at that point, close my browser, reboot the computer. Take a potty break and get a fresh cup of coffee.
Then things seem to work better.
One of my dislikes concerning RVTW is that everything is done on a server. Nothing is actually done on my laptop. Every mouse move, every click, everything typed, etc., has to travel from my desktop to the host site, be processed there, and then sent back to my computer to see the input has been accepted. And nothing is saved on my computer as a backup if I lose the connection.
For someone who was thrilled with a 2400 baud modem over a dial-up connection using the only phone line in my home - this type of connectivity is beyond amazing into the realm of a miracle.
But it is still a long, long way that the signal has to pass from my computer to the server and back to my computer.
It might travel at the speed of light, but a lot of places in the route can cause a slowdown.
