New feature requested

I would like the ability to turn off certain stops. Sometimes I will add extra campground or fuel stops for planning. But would like to turn them off to see route and mileage with or without them. Roadtrippers has this function.

Just curious, in the absence of that capability, how do you go about trying to do that with your route planning today? Or are you not able to reasonably do that at all today?

And are you looking for this in terms of impact on a specific day's travel planning, or in terms of impact on total days and mileage for a trip? Thanks.

I am looking in terms of total trips. Now I am using spreadsheets and different mapping tools (google, Garmin Basecamp, Roadtripper, or additional trip in RVTripwizard), I would not like to jump around. I have a multiple weeks/months trip, I want to be able to add some campgrounds or fuel stops see the new route and mileage, and decide later which stops I want to use, but I added them to the route when I had the time to do the planning.

I generally will make a copy of the trip to play with.

I would love a feature like this.

As it is, I take the stop and add it to the end of the trip. This really screws up the driving totals etc, but it allows me to easily put it back. Just need to remember exactly where I pulled it from.

This would be helpful when:
- Evaluating options for where to stop during the planning process
- Keeping options available while you're traveling and might need to quickly access an alternative
- Noting POI options, but not forcing them into your main travel route.

Currently, while I'm planning, I mark options with a TBD or ALT in the title and shift them around so I can evaluate travel times, etc. However, when it comes time to generate a route for actual travel between campsites, I have to remove the ALTs and TBDs.
