It would help to know where these roads are.

Zoom in where each segment ends at the campground. You'll probably see the unpaved icon near one of the campgrounds, they tend to have a gravel inlet that might be triggering the warning.

It could be the entrance to either campground on that leg. This is normally the cause.

My bad, sorry about that. The roads I am referring to are in Arizona.

I have gotten that a few times already and I have only been using this tool a few weeks. When I sent it into support they said there was actually a dirt road, there was, but it was no where near where I was going. And I was not going to travel 35 miles in the wrong direction just to make the tool correct. There is some issue with their algorithm, eventually they will take it serously and look into it. I gave up questioning it, as support kept referring to a road 35 miles in the wrong direction. I was on a 4 lane freeway where it showed some side road way off in the distance was dirt.
Report it to the support email, just don't expect to get a relevant answer. (unless you are really traveling on a dirt road ) -Bill

I will repeat this, first thing to check:
It could be the entrance to either campground on that leg. This is normally the cause.

Support sent me a screen shot of a road 35 miles from my destination that in no way would any gps send someone taking our route, way to far out of the way. And there was no gravel or dirt roads, we have already been there. Even RVTW didn't send us that way. It kept us on the wide freeway till the turn off, and then down a paved road the the sites driveway which was paved. -Bill

UPDATE! User Error... ugh.
Turns out on closer inspection (Thanks Sue!) the two unpaved road issues were of my own creation. I placed the overnight stop in the wrong location which was on a dirt road so that stop and the next stop showed the dirt road exception.
I have a couple more coming up in the next couple of weeks, I am now wondering if I got them wrong too. But they are regular campsites picked from the map. Maybe they do have dirt roads. -Bill

First, thanks from all of us users for coming back on and updating everyone that you found the causes for the Gravel Road notifications. Says a lot! Also, the RVTW Support people do their very best to to provide both detailed use instructions and practical application knowledge when issues like this arise. The reality is, when dealing with a mapping database that has hundreds (maybe even billions!) of road interchange points, not everything recommended is going to be crystal clear or readily apparent on the map.
I think the most important point from these Gravel Road notifications that I personally take away is that RVTW is acknowledging my Gravel Road Avoidance requirement, AND is telling me that the route that has been suggested for me is RV safe, even though at some point along the route, I'm going to find myself on gravel for an insignificant amount of travel. I'm OK with that, and have been very pleased with RVTW since I started using it a few years ago.
